Nagaland COVID-19 confirmed tally climbs to 2,781 cases

Of the fresh cases in Peren, all the eight cases are security force personnel.

Nagaland recorded 93 fresh cases of COVID-19, pushing the tally to 2,781 on Sunday

According to the Health department, out of the fresh cases, 62 are from Dimapur, 20 from Kohima, eight from Peren, two from Mon and one from Zunheboto.

The report then said that, out of the 62 cases in Dimapur, 25 are security force personnel, 12 are returnees, 18 are traced contacts and seven are frontline workers.

The report also said that, out of the 20 fresh cases of COVID-19 detected in Kohima, nine are security force personnel, 10 are traced contacts and one is a returnee.

Regarding the fresh cases in Peren, all the eight cases are security force personnel.

According to the Health department, the fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected during the testing of 800 samples.

So far, the death toll in the state due to the disease is eight while the number of recovered patients is 904.
