Mizoram COVID-19 tally goes up to 540 as two more test positive

The two new patients are from Aizawl. They returned from Assam recently.

Mizoram on Friday reported two more COVID-19 patients at Zoram Medical College (ZMC), official sources said.

The two patients are from Aizawl. They returned from Assam recently. They tested positive for the virus on Thursday night, taking the state's tally to 540, the sources said on Friday.

The total 540 COVID-19 cases in the state include 251 active cases.

While no deaths have been reported so far, 288 patients have recovered from the disease and discharged from the Covid care facilities in the state, according to the state health department.

Mizoram reported its first COVID-19 positive case on March 24 in Aizawl. The man had returned from the Netherland on March 16.
