A team of Narcotic Affairs and Borders (NAB) police on Thursday apprehended two drug peddlers from Mahabali, Imphal near Nano Car Wash and seized 804 grams of brown sugar.

Superintendent of NAB W Basu speaking to the media on Thursday at the NAB office located at 1st MR Gate revealed the identity of the two drug peddlers as Denis Letjathang Chongloi, 27, son of Thomas Nahpao of H Khopibung village, Kangpokpi and Lalnu Touthang, 42, wife of late Haopu Touthang of Paikoh village, Ukhrul presently residing at Hatta Golapati.

A case has been registered at NAB police station for further investigation and legal procedure, said Basu. The two arrested drug peddlers and the seized brown sugar were produced before the media.
