Nagaland COVID-19 positive tally rises to 845 with 71 new cases

Of the new confirmed cases reported on Monday, 60 patients are from the state's commercial hub Dimapur while seven belong to Mon district and four others are from Kohima.

As many as 71 more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland, taking the total confirmed cases to 845, official sources stated early Monday.
 
Of the 845 COVID-19 positive patients, active cases stands at 518 as 327 patients have recovered so far, according to the We the Nagas daily bulletin.

Of the new confirmed cases reported on Monday, 60 patients are from the state's commercial hub Dimapur while seven belong to Mon district and four others are from Kohima.
 
On Sunday, the state reported 23 new COVID-19 cases and the total tally was 771. As many as 458 of them were active while 313 patients had recovered.
 
It may be mentioned that,three days ago the Nagaland government had extended lockdown till July 31.

According to the state government, the extension of lockdown had become necessary given the COVID-19 situation.

As of now, shops and other business establishments are functioning from 9 am to 2 pm from Monday to Saturday. However, in the commercial hub Dimapur, two important markets---New Market and Hongkong Market in the heart of Dimapur---are yet to open.
