NSCN (I-M) on Monday clarified that one Romeo Bungdon Anal, arrested on the allegation of being an active member of the organisation is not a member of the NSCN (I-M) in any capacity.

The report which emanated from the Manipur state police is unfounded and far from the factual truth, stated a release issued by its ministry of information and publicity.

“To our knowledge, he is the working president of the All Tribal Union, Manipur (ATUM). Anything charged against him beyond his actual identity would be false allegations,” it stated.
