India's daily COVID-19 positive tally sinks below 15000-mark

The country's active caseload fell to 1,95,846; lowest in 220 days, and the active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.57 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

India on Sunday logged lowest COVID-19 new cases in 229 days at 14,146, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The country's active caseload fell to 1,95,846; lowest in 220 days, and the active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases, currently at 0.57 per cent; lowest since March 2020.

The daily recovery rate currently is 98.10 per cent; highest since March 2020, as 19,788 more recoveries were reported. The total number of recoveries reached 3,34,19,749.

The Weekly Positivity Rate (1.42%) remained less than three per cent for the last 114 days, while the daily positivity rate (1.29%) stood below three per cent for the last 48 days.

Meanwhile, 59.09 crore total tests have been conducted and 97.65 crore vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
