28th K C Mallick Memorial Football Tournament: Mangoloid Club emerge winners
In the final match of the 28th K C Mallick Memorial Football Tournament organised by All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA), Jiribam played Mongoloid Club beat Diger SC by 2-0 goals and claimed the winner trophy.
Participated by 15 teams, the tournament started on January 28 and was being played at the playground of Jiribam Higher Secondary School.
In the closing ceremony of the tournament, Th. Sanatomba singh, SDPO, Jiribam district police, M. Brajakanta Singh, president, AJSA, Jiribam and Prity Rani, donor graced the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour.
Mongoloid Club team won the toss, selected side while Diger SC team kick-started the match.
In the first half, Mongoloid Club player Immanuel (J no.10) in the 40th minute put the first goal and the score remained 1-0 goal.
In the second half, both teams put endless effort to put a goal but Mongoloid Club player Jehovah (J no. 12) in the 85th minute had a fruitful effort putting the second goal making a score of 2-0 goals. Unable to equalise the goals in the given time, Mongoloid Club beat Diger SC by 2-0 goals and claimed the winner trophy.
Mangoloid Club player Lalramnghak (J no. 15) in the 17th, 63rd minute while Diger SC team player Gaining (J no. 12) in the 11th minute, Remnanlal(J no. 8) in the 23rd minute, Joshua (J no. 11) in the 56th minute unsporting behaviour was booked a yellow card.
Joel Valte, Setsuong, Nilakamal Singh and Siam were the centre referee, AR1, AR2 and fourth referee.
The chief guest, president and guest of honour presented the best player award to Mangoloid Club player Immanuel (J no.10), runner up Diger SC team and winner trophy to Mangoloid Club.
