‘Th. Inaobi should be removed from JHSS’
JIRIBAM | Sept 10 : Jiribam Higher Secondary School Students Union (JHSSSU) has condemned the clarifications issued by lecturer, Education department, Jiribam Higher Secondary School (JHSS), Th. Inaobi Devi, in various media platforms terming it as a poor attempt to hide her guilt and misdeeds.
A release jointly signed by general secretary of JHSSSU, M. Lamnganba Singh along with its general secretary, P. Indira Chanu; finance secretary, S. Samarjit Singh; Games and Sports secretary, K. Elvis Singh and Girls Common room secretary Kh. Nirmata Devi said that the statement issued by Th. Inaobi Devi against the allegations made by the union and other CVOs of Jiribam is nothing but “Gibberish” and they were all made up fearing her future prospects of service. “There is proof that she is not only a lecturer but an advisor of Kangleipak Student’s Association (KSA), Jiribam District Council too,” it added.
As the in charge of the students union, Th. Inaobi Devi, instead of guiding the students has been trying to subjugate the students under her command demanding them to fulfil her whims and wishes, the release said alleging her of robbing the rights of the secretaries of the union.
It further questioned Th. Inaobi Devi’s objection to the movement initiated by the union against the “ill-timed” transfer of teachers from the school while alleging her of practising divide and rule policy amongst JHSSSU. She should not abuse her power as advisor of KSA to disrupt the school student’s union, it added.
The release also questioned Th. Inaobi what was not right in the appeal to transfer the teachers after the completion of the academic session, and demanded a public clarification from her.
It further demanded an end of her actions to allegedly smear the name of JHSSSU using the names of some members and supporters of KSA.
JHSSSU also expressed strong condemnations against her statement that she will take the aid of higher authorities in instigating actions against the students union and the CVOs. “She should publicly declare what or who exactly is the higher authority,” it said.
“We do not have any fear of any legal proceedings as we have valid proof and evidence of all her misdeeds and conducts,” the released continued adding that there is also a recorded SMS voice message issuing ‘Death Threats’ which was allegedly made by members of KSA.
While condemning the death threats and the strong language used in the Voice SMS, JHSSSU also warned that any adverse consequence arising from the SMS will be the responsibility of Th. Inaobi and KSA.
JHSSSU further appeal the authorities concerned for the immediate transfer of Th. Inaobi Devi from JHSS while also demanding the revocation of Order no. 3/4/2016-SE(S) issued by deputy secretary, Education(S), Govt. of Manipur on August 29, 2018, it added.
