JACAATB expresses gratitude to general public and organisations
CHURACHANDPUR | Sept 4 : Joint Action Committee Against Anti Tribal Bills (JACAATB) has expressed its gratitude to the general public for their overwhelming response and participation at the unveiling ceremony of the Tribal Martyr’s Memorial at Tribal Martyrs Park, Mata Dam, Lamka on Tribal Unity Day (August 31).
Information and Publicity department of JACAATB stated that the ceremony witnessed the passionate support and active participation from various tribal groups and organisations and individuals. Many tribal councils, tribe based philanthropic organisations and student bodies arranged all the necessary transportation and infrastructural arrangements as well as publicity within Lamka town, he added.
It further said that the security and traffic control support from the office of superintendent of police, first aid medical services and ambulance from the offices of medical superintendent and chief medical officer of District Hospital Lamka, and setting up the site with tents and shades by Sixth Sikh Light Infantry, Khuga Batallion have given maximum contribution in making the ceremony complete.
JACAATB also thanked the various groups and organisations from Mizoram as well as other tribal organisations from different districts of Manipur who responded to the invitation.
