NYC, CRYC enter quarter final in the Jadonang Memorial tournament
IMPHAL | November 19: Namdunlong (NYC) and Chingmeirong (CRYC) scripted victory by defeating their respective opponents in the ongoing 10 th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament pre-quarter final round held at TRAU ground today.
In the first match, NAMDUNLONG (NYC) beat PANTILONG (PYC) by big margin of six goals to nil.
The NYC players dominated in the field and Pupu Palmei opened the goal account in the 7 th minute, followed by Kingque Pamei in the 17th minute.
The NYC players kept pressure and Pougakdai Kamei scored two goals in the 19th and 29th minute.
Again, Henry Kamei added another goal in the 42nd minute and Philip Kamei in the 63rd minute and sealed the victory.
CHINGMEIRONG (CRYC) thrashed CHINIKON (CYC) in the penalty shoot in the second pre-quarter match.
CRYC and CYC played 1-1 draw in the match time.
PH Jackson of CYC opened the deadlock in the 33 rd minute while Gaibung Longmei of CYC scored own goal in the 77th minute.
CRYC managed to score five goals while CYC managed to score only four goals in the penalty shoot-out.
