MLA Nemcha visits quake affected places, victims
KANGPOKPI, January 4: Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen today visited several places in the hilly region of Koubru range within her constituency affected by the fatal earthquake occurred this early morning and assured help in restoring the damages done to residential houses.
The MLA accompanied by the local MDC Lamminthang Kipgen visited Sontolabari, Parsian, Amaledara, Gopibung, Manedara and Keithelmanbi village.
“I am truly upset and pain when I heard your sorry state and grievances. I think myself as a part of your lives in time of sorrow and grief that why I personally came to console and help you out”, said Nemcha Kipgen, consoling those affected victims.
She encouraged the victims not to be disappointed and sad following the destruction caused by the earthquake.
“I will not be able to give back your life if you happen to loss it in such disaster but I can restore back your loss properties”, the MLA said.
She also consoled the affected victims not to be humiliated and distressed much instead thanks God for saving their lives.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen assured to give GIC sheet to all the affected victims whose houses had been damaged in the unfortunate natural disaster.
Expressing sorrow on the death of numerous cattle in the natural calamity, she further assured to give monetary assistance for the loss suffered by the owners.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen also visited Kaingul Singsit at Keithelmanbi village where many houses were shattered by the earthquake. She extended monetary assistance of Rs 20, 000 each to the owners of the houses.
The MLA also assured to give GIC sheet for the restoration of the houses damaged
Affected victims at Amaledara praised the MLA for her generosity and concern towards them in their times of sorrow and pain.
MLA Nemcha Kipgen also expressed deep condolence on the death of six persons and those injured in the earthquake.
