Dear Sir, The media takes the right swing of the prolong illness of ITI, Ukhrul. We appreciate media that has been furnishing the fitness and physical accountability and transparency of ITI, Ukhrul. But the Govt. has not gone up any further necessity prior to their blame camp? There are many staff whose activities were fixed for their personnel gain and pockets and attend office for only 3-5 days in a month and drawing their salary in good faith. I may not wrong to say that: Why the Govt. kept like a mere spectator? What policies have been framed even and after there have been collapsed in institutional management and irrespective responsibilities against the corrupt staffs and officials? Why the Govt. of Manipur are not probing who are looting the public money? It may not be an exaggeration to say that to review the fitness of each and every staff of the ITI, Ukhrul for they are only defusing the status of the institution but only in virtues. They haven't possess the quality but only in quantity robing the public. Thanking you with sincere regards. Ringshangyo Awungshi Viewland, Ukhrul

Dear Ringshangyo, We totally empathise with you and are aware how frustrating it is to deal with the government monolith. They are simply not bothered about what the public thinks, except at the time of elections. The press can only bring the issue to the public domain, but if the government remains thick skinned, there is little more the press can do as it is only a whistle blower and has no executive or judicial powers. What may be worth doing is to file Public Interest Litigation, PIL, in the court of law. The government cannot ignore the directive of the court in such cases. PILs are also not expensive to fight. Warm regards Editor
