Tampi Youth Club organises career guidance

The programme saw the participation of 52 youths comprising 30 girls and 22 boys.

The Tampi Youth Club (TYC) on Saturday organised a one-day career guidance programme for the village youth especially those who had appeared in the recently conducted Class X and Class XII examinations.

Conducted at the Tampi Community Hall, Tampi village, Chakpikarong subdivision in Chandel district, the programme saw the participation of 52 youths comprising 30 girls and 22 boys.

As a resource person, Ch Minhlung, Lecturer (English), Maha Union Govt Higher Sec. School, Chandel spoke on the various career lines and opportunities available. She encouraged the youths and the participants to take on life and career full charge.

She also called on them to concentrate on their studies, but with plans, so that they may be able to achieve their goals in life.

Nl Bhim, Assistant Commandant, CRPF, as resource person, spoke on the line of defence as a choice of career and how one could prepare for the same. He told them that being disciplined was one of the main important factors for one to be successful in life.

He also imparted the knowledge of NDA, CDS and other examinations which help them join the Indian army or the defence wing in an officer’s rank.
