During a press conference held at the MSF office in Imphal, its president Hijam Roshan addressed concerns regarding the unregulated operation of kid centres across the state.

Roshan highlighted the alarming trend of numerous kid centres operating without the required permits, pointing to the absence of government regulations governing their establishment and operation.

Despite the lack of official guidelines, these centres have proliferated throughout Manipur, raising concerns of the quality and safety of early childhood education provided, he said.

Stressing the need to safeguard the educational interests of young learners and ensure the establishment of high-quality educational standards in pre-schools across the state, the president highlighted the importance of streamlining the functions of kid centres to nurture the future pillars of society effectively.

Furthermore, he announced plans to conduct a drive targeting kid centres, including franchises operating within the state for necessary reform.
