The All Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association continued their non-cooperation movement, which started from Thursday.
The sit-in protest demanding an increase in their monthly allowance was staged in front of the Home Guard complex at Lamphel, Imphal West.

A wind of change is blowing here in the office of the Churachandpur unit of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). The new officer has put in money from her own pocket to give the dilapidated office a new look.
ICDS officer, Helen Lallienmawi formally took charge on June 20, as project officer at Chiengkonpang, Tipaimukh Road. The All Manipur Working Journalist Union (AMWJU) refuted the report that AMWJU joined hands with BJP to conserve nature, saying the newly formed wildlife protection forum Manipur (WPFM) is not related to either AMWJU or BJP.

World is Yours (WY) tablets worth around Rs. 15 lakhs in international market were today seized by Imphal West Narcotic cell led by inspector K. Ranjit under the supervision of Imphal West, superintendent of police Themthing Ngasangva.
The tablets were seized from a man identified as Letkholal Mate (29) son of Onngam Mate of Lhangnom Veng, Moreh, Tegnoupal district at around 4.20 pm from Khabam Lamkhai near Ima Panthoibi Sanglen.
According to police, the tablets were brought in 15 different plastic pouches where each pouch contains 200 tablets and the police team arrested him from his suspicious movement.

Altogether seven officers of the Manipur Judicial Services grade-III has been promoted to Grade-II on officiating basis for one year by the Law and Legislative Affairs, Government of Manipur following the recommendation of the High Court of Manipur.

Students’ Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has condemned the cancellation of results of Common Entrance Test (CET) held for selection of students for enrolment in Class XI in 13 government Higher Secondary Schools.
A press statement issued by SUK publicity secretary, Dollarsen Thokchom alleged that re-evaluation of answer sheets of CET by stating that answer key are wrong  is baseless and irresponsible on the part of the directorate of Education (S), which has a pivotal role in the education sector of Manipur.
It further demanded to form a committee to look into the flaws of CET and to book the culprits involved
