Coming down heavily against the transfer order of 86 teachers of Jiribam district and transferring eight of them already, MSF and DESAM have expressed strong condemnations and demanded that the orders be revoked urgently.
In a press meet held at the office of MSF, vice president Md. Sabir Ahmed said to the media that the move is strongly condemnable by. The organisation demanded that the orders be revoked by November 25 and the teachers who had been transferred must be brought back.
Else, Jiribam Higher Secondary School and Borobekra Higher Secondary School will be permanently closed down, he said. The organisation in association with the existing CVOs, are prepared to launch agitations, he added.
The press meet was also attended by finance secretary A Ratan Singh and assistant finance secretary, Th. Samananda Singh.
Meanwhile, a release by president, DESAM Jiri Local Council, Jiribam, L. Bilaks Meitei said the organisation strongly condemns the transfer order of 86 teachers released by Joint Secretary, Education (S), L. Nandakumar Singh and the transfer of 8 teachers.
The order must be revoked by November 21 otherwise the organisation along with other student bodies and CSOs of Jiribam will launch extreme agitations. The responsibility for any unwanted outcome will go to the government of Manipur, the release further said.
