Hectic preparation is underway in Tamenglong to welcome the chief minister of Manipur and his council of ministers whose visit has been scheduled for November 15.

President, BJP Tamenglong Mandal, Phunggan Phaomei stated that the BJP Tamenglong Mandal is organising mass cleanliness activity in the town as a part of the preparation.

He said that chief minister, N Biren Singh is likely to announce development packages for upliftment of the remote Tamenglong district. He also urged the people not to call any bandh or strike in the state in view of the proposed visit and in the interest of the general public.

During the visit, the chief minister and his council of ministers are likely to inaugurate the new district hospital at Duigailong village and inspect the new building and its areas. Moreover, the chief minister, N. Biren Singh will lay the foundation stone for the Rani Gaidinliu’s market, water supply scheme, 5000 metric tonne FCI godown and transit hostel for doctors and teachers.

A special cabinet meeting is also likely to be held after the public meeting at Mini stadium, Tamenglong. 

District Concerned Development Agency (DCDA) Tamenglong has appealed to all civil societies, NGOs and organisations not to create any hindrance during chief minister’s visit.
