Locals of Heingang staged a sit-in protest against the missing of Hirom Priyokumar alias Yaima 26 son of H Manichandra of Heingang Panthoibi Lampak, Imphal East.

It was claimed that he went missing on May 17, at around 2.20 pm and the vehicle he brought was left at MG Avenue.

Yesterday an FIR of missing report has been lodged to the Heingang Police Station.

Today, locals of Pangei Nepali Basti informed the police that his body was at a fish farm owned by one Raju but when Heingang police team came to check the body, the team were unable to find his body.

Investigation is going on by the police and the CCTV footage of MG Avenue area is under examination.

According to the locals of Heingang, he was suspected to be kidnapped by some unknown persons.

Speaking to media Priyokumar’s mother H Binodini said that his son was working in his uncle’s travel agency at Uripok and claimed to be innocent.

She asked to spare his son’s life and released him free on the ground of humanity even if he has done anything wrong.

Binodini further requested whoever kidnapped his son to please forgive his son and set him free.

She cried that she want to see her son alive and not his dead body.
