Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations (FEGOCTA), Manipur launched its website in a simple ceremony held at the Manipur Press Club here yesterday.
Speaking on the occasion, vice president of the association, Ch. Sheelaramani said the website (www.fegocta.org) is a window that opens for all the teaching communities of Manipur and outside world who want to share and gain their academic knowledge.
The very first news updated in the website is about the international conference on “Sustainable development and North East India in the Globalised Era” that is going to be conducted on December 29 and 30 of 2017 in Imphal, she informed.
The main objectives, activities and details of coming conference are clearly uploaded in the website, she added.
The website was launched with lot of hope and expectations of bringing the Manipur as academic friendly society, she said, adding the mission is to inform everyone about the initiatives taken up by the association, UGC and Manipur government related to academic purpose.
General secretary of FEGOCTA N. Somorendro Singh highlighted the purpose of launching the website. “First of all this website will help to make aware of the international conference that is going to be held in December. Apart from that we are going to upload the steps taken up by UGC, Central government and Manipur government for the welfare of students and teachers”, he pointed out.
