DRDA to organise paper bag making training

As part of ‘Swachhata Pakhwada’ observance, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Ukhrul will be organising a district level painting competition for school going children and a training programme on paper bags making for youths.

The painting competition will be held in three categories Class I-V, Class VI-X and Class XI-XII under the theme ‘How cleanliness helps in improving environment’ and it will be held at DRDA Training Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Ukhrul on October 13 from 9 am onwards. The organiser has requested the schools to send two participants for each category and to bring their own colours for the competition.

The training programme on production of paper bags will be held on October 14 from 11 am onwards at the same venue. Project officer of DRDA, Ukhrul, Ningshimi Awungshi stated that the main objective to organise the training programme is to make the district a plastic free Zone. The organiser has requested schools and interested youths to contact DRDA Office, Ukhrul for further details.
