The Coalition for Indigenes' Rights Campaign (CIRCA), Manipur said that the only solution to the crises happening in the state is to restore the pre-merger political status of Manipur.

Speaking to media persons today at Manipur Sana Konung, Imphal, CIRCA, convenor, Somarendro Thokchom said that a stereotype understanding of the pre-merger status would definitely be obsolete given the social, economic and political situation of the state, which has drastically changed over the last 67 years under Indian rule.

As Manipur got independence one day ahead from India, CIRCA will be hoisting the Manipur national flag at the Sana Konung on August 14 as hoisted by Maharaj Bhudha Chandra on August 14, 1947, he added.

Moreover student’s front of CIRCA will be hoisting the Manipur national flag at 500 different schools of the state and members of CIRCA will be hoisting the flag at 300 different places of the state, he continued.

CIRCA appealed to the people of the state to support them in hoisting the Manipur national flag and urged the people to let the flag remained hoisted till October 18 (Manipur national day).
