AISF observes foundation day

All India Students’ Federation (AISF), Manipur state council, observed its 82nd foundation day on the theme of “For scientific education system” at Irawat Bhawan today. The function was attended by M. Nara (former minister) as chief guest, N. Sanahal Singh, president of AISF, Manipur state council, M. Joykumar Singh, president All Manipur Government Higher Secondary Lecturers Welfare Association and Sumati Sougrakpam, secretary, All Manipur Students’ Guardians’ Organisation.

Nara along with the members of AISF also launched a poster campaign named “Let’s stay away from drugs” in the function.

Nara said students should resist corruption and work on stopping drug abuse while claiming that AISF is the oldest students’ organisation in India. He also alleged that the ‘origin of corruption is election’ and students also bear the responsibility to work towards making election free and fair.

He stressed the importance of scientific vision towards the development of a society.
