United Educated Multipurpose Self-Employed Voluntary Organisation Nambol has organised a leadership programme at Laining Khoriphaba Community Hall, Nambol yesterday.
President of UEMSEVO, Mangisor Singh, secretary Ajitkumar Heirangkhongjam, Manager HRD, Ksh. Anita Devi attended as presidium members at the programme.
Anita said that the organisation UEMSEVO was created for the purpose of providing self-employment to the youth who have skills to work. The leadership programme was organised so that many basic necessities for daily life can be produced by the skilled workers of the state.
Various trainings for self–employment and job-oriented skill development have been given by the organisation and will continue to do so, she said.
Mangisor said, staying unemployed at home after getting education from abroad is not a sign of development. The government cannot provide jobs to all and real development will come when we can earn from our skills and live very productive lives, he added.
We should do away with talks about getting a government jobs and getting big salaries and must focus on the skills we have and work hard to earn, he said. Many people from different areas of Manipur attended the programme.
