The Join Action Committee (JAC) Against the Suspension of Dr. L. Subhaschandra Singh urged the government to bring out the evidence and proof to substantiate that Dr. Subhaschandra indulged in corrupt practices.
Addressing a press meet today at Manipur Press Club, Imphal the JAC president Moirangthem Thaba Devi said that the JAC strongly condemned the suspension of a doctor, who is serving with full dedication at Thoubal Khangabok district hospital.
The suspension order came through “Whatsapp” and when the doctor enquired to the health department regarding the matter, it came to be true, she said.
The gynaecology department of the hospital was not fully functioning until Subhaschandra joined the hospital in the year 2015, she added.
Thaba said that after he joined the hospital women of the district have the facilities for child delivery in the hospital. Earlier women of the district have to go to RIMS or JNIMS for child delivery cases.
The gynaecology department of the hospital was fully functioning after his joining and more over the doctor gave full cooperation to the ASHA and the patient, she continued.
Thaba added that the doctor has performed around 2000 successful deliveries in the district hospital but he did not demand any money from the patient party for his services.
